| Empire Win at Home, 4-0 | The home crowd had a good time watching the Las Vegas Gamblers and New York Empire get after it.
Greg Olsen, who is tied for 4th in the IL in wins with 6, never let the Gamblers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Empire to a win, 4-0. The winner was Olsen. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mario Villalobos.
The Empire got a big at-bat from catcher Larry Taylor. For the game, Taylor went 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave New York a 2-0 lead.
Taylor told a New York News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The victory gives New York a record of 35-22.
