| Rangers Lose at Home, 2-1 | The Phoenix Firebirds banked on Mario Villalpando and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Houston hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Firebirds. The win leaves Phoenix with a record of 10-8.
Adam Richards, who is tied for 7th in the UL in total bases with 38, had a direct impact on the outcome. Richards contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Phoenix up, 2-1.
