Houston and Portland duked it out and the Rangers came out victorious.

Getting offensive support from Victor Sanchez, the Houston Rangers topped the Portland Ducks, 6-3. Sanchez went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rangers. The win went to Tony Saenz in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Phil Drake took the loss. Andy Urso, who is a three-time All-Star, nailed down the save.

Sanchez had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Remington Dillon, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Rangers a 5-3 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Sanchez.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Portland manager David Fields.

Houston has now won 5 in a row.
