Big Game from Walsh Not Enough, Ducks Lose
The Denver Queens weathered an outstanding game by Portland third baseman Geoff Walsh to topple the Ducks, 11-7. Walsh belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Denver has 4 straight wins, Portland 3 straight losses.

Miguel Ventura had a big grand slam home run for the Queens in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Denver trailing 6-5 and the bases loaded, he sized up a slider from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Remington Dillon and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Queens on top, 9-6.

"It never gets old," said Ventura. "Winning, that is."
