The Houston Rangers topped the Denver Queens by a score of 10-7. Leading the way was designated hitter Haoa Kanai. Kanai went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Rangers. Houston reliever Victor Pacheco snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Mike Walters shouldered the loss. The second-place Queens have dropped 4 straight games.

Mark Brooks came through with a big-time hit for Houston. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 10-7. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"There's no quit in this team," said Rangers manager David Fields.
