Queens Suffer One-Run Loss at Portland
Harry Landers, who is tied for 10th in the UL with a 9.6 K/9 rate, had a strong outing for the Portland Ducks against the Denver Queens at Ducks Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Earning his 6th save of the year was Jim Bartholomew. The second-place Queens dropped to 28-29.

Francisco Lopez had a big 2-run double for the Ducks in the bottom of the second inning. With Portland leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Keith Swanson and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ducks ahead, 3-0.

"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Portland manager David Fields said afterward.
