Tom Parker, who finished 2nd in the IL in wins with 11 in 2025, had a strong outing for the Las Vegas Gamblers against the Vancouver Orcas at Las Vegas Grounds. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 9-1 win. Parker picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. Matthew Pitts closed the door for Las Vegas, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Gamblers got a big hit from second baseman Wally Kurland. Facing Vancouver pitcher Raul Dorantes in the bottom of the eighth, Kurland pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 2nd home run of the season put the Gamblers ahead, 8-1.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Parker.

The loss has the Orcas at 9-10.
