Loss to Marauders Extends San Antonio Losing Streak
Minneapolis second baseman Mario Cardenas contributed significantly to his team's 11-5 win over the San Antonio Wranglers. Cardenas, who is tied for 3rd in the IL in stolen bases with 13, went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Marauders . The Wranglers, now 14-20, have lost 8 in a row.

Kevin Aponte had a big 2-run home run for the Marauders in the bottom of the second inning. With Minneapolis leading 1-0 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a changeup from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Raul Caballero and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Marauders on top, 3-0.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager David Fields, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
