Sentinels Score Late to Beat Condors, 2-1 | There was no shortage of dramatics at Ballpark of Arlington.
In a tight tilt between the Arlington Sentinels and the Boston Condors, Luis Salazar was the deciding factor. The Arlington right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The win went to Willie Ayala in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Raul Vazquez took the loss.
Up to bat in the bottom of the 11th, 23-year old third baseman Eddie Stone had a chance to be the hero. Boston pitcher Raul Vazquez wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Stone hit a sacrifice fly. The Sentinels had themselves a thrilling win.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Salazar.
The loss makes Boston 23-28. | | | | |
