| Jacksonville Wastes Great Game by Martin | The Boston Condors withstood an impressive performance by Jacksonville second baseman Mark Martin to defeat the Jackals, 8-5, at Jackals Stadium. Martin was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The triumph puts Boston at 33-31 for the season.
Boston used the hitting of Joe Dreisbach to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Condors on top, 4-0. For the game, Dreisbach had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
In postgame comments to the Boston Times, Dreisbach said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
