| Gamblers Lose, 7-3, in 10 | Fans who congregated at Las Vegas Grounds were treated to extra-inning drama.
Seattle right fielder Andy Kauffman was instrumental in helping the Evergeens triumph, 7-3, over the Las Vegas Gamblers. Kauffman went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Seattle reliever Teagan Rivet picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Joe Childers absorbed the loss. Jon Godbee notched his 19th save in 20 chances.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Christian Gillis to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Evergeens on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Seattle manager David Fields.
Seattle now has a record of 40-25 with the win.
