Seattle Loss Spoils Terrific Game by Gillis | The Las Vegas Gamblers weathered an outstanding game by Seattle second baseman Christian Gillis to topple the Evergeens, 11-10. Gillis was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Alex Arias earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Las Vegas bumps their record to 47-45 with the win.
David Tristan came through with a big-time hit for Las Vegas. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Tristan. "And not try to do too much." | | | | |
