| Evergeens Drop Condors, 7-4 | The Seattle Evergeens withstood an impressive performance by Boston designated hitter Jean Raynaud to defeat the Condors, 7-4, at Evergeens Grounds. Raynaud hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Sincere Stevens earned the win to go to 8-4. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. The triumph puts Seattle at 53-44 for the season.
The Evergeens got a big at-bat from third baseman Dave Laurence. For the game, Laurence went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Seattle a 5-3 lead.
