| Sunrays Clip Rangers, 5-4 | The Tampa Bay Sunrays dealt the Houston Rangers a 5-4 loss at Sunrays Field. Steve Noseworthy was the star on offense. He went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Tampa Bay reliever Dustin Douthitt was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Tim Rose. Joe Black collected his 2nd save.
Noseworthy had a timely hit for Tampa Bay in the bottom of the sixth. With Tampa Bay trailing 3-1, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 5-3, Tampa Bay.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Tampa Bay manager David Fields. "It's usually not just one thing."
Houston falls to 2-4.
