Parenzan Slugs Toltecs to 7-0 Win
The Leon Toltecs defeated the Houston Rangers, 7-0. Right Fielder Savino Parenzan deserved a large share of the credit. Parenzan was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Toltecs. Mario Garza earned the win to go to 4-8. He allowed no runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. Leon is now 32-43, Houston 38-37.

David Spence had a big 2-run home run for the Toltecs in the bottom of the third inning. With Leon leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Victor Garcia and punished it. The result was his 17th home run of the season, which put the Toltecs on top, 4-0.

"It was a solid team effort," said Spence after the game.
