| Marauders Get Hard-Earned Win | In a low-scoring affair between the Minneapolis Marauders and the Boston Condors, pitcher Colin Denman was the difference between victory and defeat. The Minneapolis right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Marauders win. Minneapolis reliever Scott Kelly was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Manny Chavez took the loss. Getting the save was B.J. Howe, his 5th.
Minneapolis took the lead, 3-2, on Jon Burress's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Boston pitcher Manny Chavez in the bottom of the eighth.
"Ah," said Burress in a jubilant clubhouse, "the sweet smell of victory!."
The Condors drop to 7-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2027 season.
