 | Pioneers Advance to Championship Series Sunday, August 8th , 2027 It was a sweet sweep for the San Francisco Pioneers as they eased past the Tampa Bay Sunrays to advance to the Championship Series. San Francisco won the final game by a 10-1 count and the series 3-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Cody Cherry, who was named series MVP. For the series, Cherry hit .583 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 6 runs. The San Francisco Pioneers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Chicago Hawks - Portland Ducks series. Portland leads the series 2 games to 1. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
