| Mounties Need Extra Innings to Top Queens, 7-5 | Though he had a terrific game, Cesar de Lara could not prevent his team, the Denver Queens, from absorbing a loss. Toronto won the game, 7-5. de Lara hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The Mounties raised their record to 35-61.
Toronto got a knockout punch from Frank Rivas. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Rivas.
