Evergeens Win, 5-2, at Arlington | The Seattle Evergeens picked up a win at Ballpark of Arlington, topping the Arlington Sentinels, 5-2. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander David Ramirez. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Ramirez. He threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Willie Castro. Jon Godbee, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save.
The Evergeens got a big at-bat from first baseman Kevin Lomond. For the game, Lomond was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.
