| Orange Even Record with 3-2 Victory | Orlando Orange starter Mitch Burgess turned in a top-notch performance against the Las Vegas Gamblers at Las Vegas Grounds. The result was a win for the Orange, 3-2. Burgess got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Franklin Garcia picked up the save for Orlando, his 8th of the year.
Brandon Benner, who is tied for 7th in the IL in bases on balls with 13, had a direct impact on the outcome. Benner contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Orlando up, 3-0.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Las Vegas manager David Fields. "The effort was great."
The second-place Gamblers now sit at 14-12.
