| Wranglers Victorious at Las Vegas, 4-1 | The Wranglers grabbed a win, 4-1, at Las Vegas Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Las Vegas pitcher Alex Sandoval. Sandoval went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Picking up his 15th save was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Sergio Delgado. San Antonio has a record of 23-28, placing them last in the Independent South Division.
San Antonio took a 4-1 lead on Bobby Ambrose's 10th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Ambrose hit in the top of the eighth, left Las Vegas pitcher Chris Evans visibly frustrated.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Ambrose told the San Antonio Herald. "And padding the San Antonio win column."
