New York pitcher Tim Lugo did his part in helping his team beat the Orlando Orange, 8-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. New York has now won 3 in a row.

New York took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Cruz Arteaga hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Empire in front, 2-1.
