| Evergeens Drop Orange, 6-5 | Despite a great performance by Orlando second baseman Barry Bayless, the Seattle Evergeens defeated the Orange by the score of 6-5 at Evergeens Grounds. Bayless was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The winner was Tom Osborn in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Josh Stone took the loss. Jon Godbee collected save number 17.
Josh Johnson had a big 2-run home run for the Evergeens in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seattle trailing 5-4 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Stone and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Evergeens on top, 6-5.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Johnson said after the game.
Seattle now sports a record of 37-25.
