| Evergeens Upend Orange, 5-2 | The Seattle Evergeens knocked off the Orlando Orange, 5-2, in Independent action at Evergeens Grounds. Seattle pitcher and New York, native Corey Halcomb had an outstanding performance. Seattle, now 6-2, is playing great baseball to start the year.
Ryan Funk dealt the Orange a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with the bases loaded and Seattle leading 3-1, Funk, who is rated as the 38th best prospect by BNN, hit a 0-2 slider for a 2-run single.
Seattle manager commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
