| Sentinels Absorb 4-3 Home Loss | The Jacksonville Jackals beat the Arlington Sentinels by a score of 4-3. Jacksonville designated hitter Alex Villegas deserved the lion's share of the credit. Villegas went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Jackals. Alex Ramirez earned his 19th save, after closing out the game. Jacksonville occupies third place in the Independent South Division at 36-39.
Jacksonville took a 4-2 lead on Villegas's 15th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off Ramon Betancourt in the top of the seventh, propelled Jacksonville to the win.
"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Villegas told the Jacksonville Times. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
