| Late Rally by Marauders Secures 5-3 Win | The Seattle Evergeens got a superb performance from pitcher Sincere Stevens, but the Minneapolis Marauders still won the game, 5-3. Stevens threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Colin Denman, the winner, goes to 7-5. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts over 7.1 innings. With the win, Minneapolis pushed its record to 41-36.
Damien Longhurst drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Minneapolis. The 24-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Bill Ruthman. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Minneapolis manager David Fields. "It's usually not just one thing."
