| Marauders Suffer 5-2 Home Defeat | The Arlington Sentinels picked up a win at Marauders Field, downing the Minneapolis Marauders , 5-2. On the mound for Arlington was right-hander Luis Salazar, who played a pivotal role in the win. Salazar got the win, improving to 9-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Willie Ayala was credited with the save, his 16th in 19 tries.
The Marauders had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Sentinels going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old third baseman Eddie Stone came to the plate. Stone hit a run-scoring triple on a first pitch sinker from Minneapolis hurler Tom Boatright. It was Stone's 2nd triple of the year.
Arlington manager David Fields called it "a good, solid win."
Arlington has a record of 43-40, placing them first in the Independent South Division.
