| Condors Drop Gamblers, 5-4 | The Boston Condors had to overcome a fine effort from Las Vegas pitcher Tom Parker to win, 5-4, in 12 innings at Las Vegas Grounds. Parker went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The win was credited to Chet Corson in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Danny Delgado took the loss. The Condors improved to 44-45.
Boston used the timely hitting of Oscar Aguilera to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Condors on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Aguilera.
