| Gamblers Beat Visiting Sentinels, 7-4 | The Las Vegas Gamblers trumped the Arlington Sentinels, 7-4, at Las Vegas Grounds. Las Vegas second baseman Carlos Cruz was terrific. He was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Joe Childers closed the game out for Las Vegas, earning his 22nd save. The Gamblers lead the Independent South Division by a game.
Seth Klockow, who is a two-time All-Star, came through for Las Vegas with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth. The third baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 runs batted in.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Cruz. "And not try to do too much."
