Cruz slugs 2 home runs to Power Gamblers Offense
The Las Vegas Gamblers defeated the Orlando Orange, 11-6, at Orange Park. Las Vegas designated hitter Carlos Cruz had a superb performance. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. Alex Sandoval, the winner, is now 9-9. He struck out 3 and walked 4 over 5 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Las Vegas goes to 61-47. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.

With Las Vegas leading 2-1 in the top of the second, Cruz came up to bat against Orlando pitcher Aaron Staff. Cruz hit a curveball to center for a solo home run. His 24th home run of the season put the Gamblers on top, 3-1.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Gamblers manager David Fields. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
