| With Late Score, Evergeens Beat Sentinels | With first baseman Kevin Lomond leading the charge, the Seattle Evergeens defeated the Arlington Sentinels, 3-2, at Evergeens Grounds. Lomond, who is on pace to hit 40 home runs this season, went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Seattle reliever Jon Godbee picked up the win to move to 7-5. Lorenzo Vega suffered the loss. The Sentinels, now 50-56, have lost 12 in a row.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Seattle third baseman Dave Laurence, facing Ramon Betancourt, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Evergeens the 3-2 win.
