| Queens Win, 6-3, at San Francisco | The Denver Queens defeated the San Francisco Pioneers, 6-3. Shortstop Jamie Biederman deserved a large share of the credit. Biederman went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Queens. Denver starter Sean Spotton was credited with the win after throwing 86 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Queens, now 4-1, have stormed out of the gates.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the top of the sixth, Biederman had a key at-bat for Denver. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Biederman hit a run-scoring single off Devin Ballard, making the score 4-3, Queens.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Biederman said.
