| Minneapolis Loses Again, 7-5 | The Las Vegas Gamblers saddled the Minneapolis Marauders with a loss at Marauders Field. The final score was 7-5. Carlos Cruz was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Las Vegas second baseman scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Bobby Juarez, the winner, is now 1-1. He struck out 6 and walked 4 over 5.1 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. Las Vegas, now 8-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Seth Klockow had a big 2-run home run for the Gamblers in the top of the fifth inning. With Las Vegas leading 4-3 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jerry Gomez and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Gamblers ahead, 6-3.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Klockow, "and then get after it again."
