| Sunrays Popped by Mammoths, 6-2 | Good production from first baseman Brett Duncan helped the Montreal Mammoths topple the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 6-2. Duncan was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Mammoths. Montreal reliever Bryan Kesling picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. David Smith absorbed the loss. The Mammoths raised their record to 8-14.
Montreal went up, 5-2, on Jerry Yon's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Yon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Tampa Bay pitcher Adam Ogden feeling deflated.
"Solid performance from our side," said Mammoths manager David Fields.
