Slumping Mounties Lose Again
Portland registered a win at Ducks Park by beating the Toronto Mounties, 8-3. Pitcher Harry Landers was one reason why the Ducks triumphed. Landers picked up the win for Portland , going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. Toronto has now lost 7 consecutive games.

Diego Martinez had a big 2-run double for the Ducks in the bottom of the first inning. With Portland trailing 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Steve Tyler, who finished 3rd in the UL in ERA with 2.96 in 2025, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ducks ahead, 3-2.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Martinez.
