| Rangers Rally Late to Clip San Francisco | Houston second baseman David Johnson made his presence felt in the 4-3 Rangers triumph over the San Francisco Pioneers. Johnson went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Houston reliever Tony Saenz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Oytun Inci took the loss. The win puts Houston at 15-13 this season.
Had Johnson not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Johnson hit a run-scoring single. The Rangers took the lead, 4-3, and never looked back.
Johnson said his team "played with determination."
