Kareem Brobbey, who is a three-time All-Star, imposed his will on the Mounties from the get-go. Relying mainly on his sinker, the right-hander spearheaded the 6-1 Houston triumph. The win was credited to 25-year old right-handed pitcher Victor Pacheco in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Elias Birriel took the loss. The win elevated the Rangers to 19-18.

Houston used a timely hit from Victor Sanchez to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Sanchez.
