Miller Hits 2 home runs in Mounties Win
The Toronto Mounties beat the Houston Rangers, 5-4, at Mounties Park. Richard Miller, who is tied for 6th in the UL with a .607 slugging percentage, starred for Toronto. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jose Nicolas picked up his 7th save of the season. The Mounties raised their record to 15-24.

Miller contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Toronto in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Miller took a cutter from Victor Garcia and stroked the home run to center. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Mounties to leap in front, 2-1.

Toronto manager David Fields commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
