Franken Leads San Francisco to 5-2 Win with 3 Jacks
The San Francisco Pioneers topped the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 5-2, with center fielder Peter Franken playing a big role. Franken hit 3 home runs for the Pioneers in the win. Phil Racine got the win, improving to 6-1. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 10 and walking 1. Chris Martin collected his 13th save.

San Francisco took a 4-2 lead on Franken's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Terry Whitten in the bottom of the sixth, propelled San Francisco to the win.

"The vibe's good," said San Francisco manager David Fields. "We've got to keep it going."

With the win, San Francisco upped its record to 25-13.
