| Ducks Win, 5-2 | The Portland Ducks locked up a win at Mammoths Field, knocking off the Montreal Mammoths, 5-2. On the mound for Portland was left-hander Leo Marquez. He played a major role in the triumph. Jim Bartholomew notched his 7th save in 9 chances. Portland is now 27-33, while Montreal is 23-37.
Portland used the hitting of Francisco Lopez to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ducks on top, 4-1. For the game, Lopez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Leo made some big pitches when he needed to," said Ducks manager David Fields.
