| Sunrays Get Past San Francisco for 3-2 Win | San Francisco got a valiant performance from pitcher Devin Ballard, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tampa Bay Sunrays. Tampa Bay won the game, 3-2. Ballard threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. With the win, Tampa Bay pushed its record to 35-30.
Tampa Bay got a knockout punch from David Monjaras. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This place sure got loud," said David Fields, the Tampa Bay manager.
