Hightower Now 6-2 After Beating Sunrays | The Chicago Hawks converted a terrific effort from starter Derrick Hightower into a win over the Tampa Bay Sunrays at Hawks Park. The Hawks won the game by a final score of 3-0. Jeff Slack was credited with the save for Chicago, his 25th of the season. The United North Division-leading Hawks have a record of 53-19.
Hightower was in the zone, shutting down Tampa Bay hitters over 7.1 innings. Hightower, who threw 104 pitches, allowed no runs on 2 hits. He also tallied 8 punchouts.
