| Loss to Ducks Extends Toronto Losing Streak | The Portland Ducks had to overcome a good performance from Toronto pitcher Chris Jacobson to claim a 3-1 win at Ducks Park. Jacobson went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Remington Dillon earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The Mounties, at 26-54, have lost 6 in a row.
Portland took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Diego Martinez hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Ducks.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Martinez.
