| Jackals Win Squeaker, 5-4, Over Wranglers | Jackals Stadium was host to some action-packed drama.
The Jacksonville Jackals beat the San Antonio Wranglers by a score of 5-4. Jacksonville left fielder Mike Albro deserved the lion's share of the credit. Albro was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Jackals. Pascal Bidault picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Sergio Delgado suffered the loss.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Jacksonville trailing 4-3, Albro jumped on a sinker from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Sergio Delgado and hit a 2-run home run to center. With one swing, the Jackals had a walk-off win.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Albro said in his postgame press conference.
The Jackals now have a record of 12-13 with the win over San Antonio.
