| Arlington Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair | The Arlington Sentinels got a strong performance from pitcher Willie Castro, who stymied the San Francisco offense en route to a 2-1 win in Game 2 of the World Series. The Pioneers could never get a bead on the left-handed Castro, who threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The Sentinels now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Castro confounded San Francisco hitters. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits.
"Willie was dictating to their hitters," said Arlington manager David Fields.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, August 25th , 2025 at Pioneers Park in San Francisco.
