| Series Lead Trimmed to 1 for Arlington After 4-2 Setback | Behind a bravura effort from starter Ricky Martinez, the San Francisco Pioneers topped the Arlington Sentinels by the score of 4-2 and got their first win in the 2025 World Series. Martinez threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the Pioneers. The win narrows San Francisco's deficit to 2-1.
Melvin Latorre chipped in a solo home run for San Francisco in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Latorre.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pioneers Park in San Francisco.
