| Pioneers Hammered by Jestice, Drop Game 4 to Gamblers | Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the World Series, the San Francisco Pioneers could not close the deal.
Game 4 went into extra frames and the Las Vegas Gamblers emerged victorious, taking a 11-inning, walk-off win by the final score of 4-3. Las Vegas catcher Dave Jestice went 2-5 with 2 home runs in the win at Las Vegas Grounds to drag the Gamblers back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With one out, Jestice hit a cutter from Kevin Ferguson for a solo home run. The Gamblers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our guys refused to lose," said Jestice.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Las Vegas Grounds in Las Vegas.
