| Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Gamblers, 6-2 | Game 5 was big. So was Alex Sandoval.
In leading Las Vegas to a crucial 6-2 victory over the San Francisco Pioneers at Las Vegas Grounds, the Las Vegas starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6 good innings. Sandoval threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball as the Gamblers defended their home field to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 World Series.
Third Baseman Seth Klockow made an impact for Las Vegas, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Joel Tangarife in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Klockow went 1-5 with a double.
"It was a solid team effort," said Sandoval after the game.
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, August 31st , 2027 at Pioneers Park in San Francisco.
