| Hernandez Blasts Gamblers, Pioneers Take Game 6, 5-2 | The San Francisco Pioneers and the Las Vegas Gamblers will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Pioneers beat the Gamblers, 5-2, at Pioneers Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. San Francisco left fielder Eddie Hernandez went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Pioneers grabbed the lead when Jonathan Furniss rapped a two-out home run. San Francisco was trailing 2-1, when Furniss hit a 2-run home run off Tom Parker to put his team in front, 3-2.
"I'm really happy I delivered," said Furniss. "The pressure is so high up there, it's indescribable. This is the World Series."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pioneers Park in San Francisco.
