| Gamblers Score Late, Clip Empire, 4-3 | The Las Vegas Gamblers did just enough to secure a victory over the New York Empire, 4-3, in 10 innings at Las Vegas Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Tom Parker. The win went to Danny Delgado in relief, making him now 2-1. Ernesto Ramirez took the loss for New York. With the victory, the Gamblers upped their record to 16-13.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Empire allowed the Gamblers to score the winning run.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Parker said.
